“Please be aware that this is not a compositing role. We require a Quality Controller with experience in reviewing compositing files.”
Job Description : QC Ingest Specialist
Experience : 7-10 years (depending on specialization across digital / print / video)
Role Purpose
The QC Ingest Specialist is responsible for reviewing and validating all master working files shared by the Tier 1 agency before they are handed over to Tier 3 production teams. The role ensures that incoming assets—across digital, print, or moving-image formats—are complete, structurally correct, aligned to the campaign toolkit, and match the client-approved reference output. This ensures the files are fully prepared and suitable for adaptation work.
The role also manages asset ingestion into the client’s Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, including accurate metadata tagging, structuring, and version control.
Key Responsibilities
1. QC of Incoming Master Files
Review all working files delivered by Tier 1 agencies (digital, print, video / motion).
Validate that the master file matches the client-approved low-resolution output / reference.
Confirm compliance with campaign toolkits, brand guidelines, and adaptation rules.
Ensure working files are complete, organized, and ready for Tier 3 adaptation.
2. Technical Verification
Check file structures, naming conventions, layers, links, fonts, comps, and source assets.
Verify that no elements are missing (images, fonts, footage, audio, graphics, etc.).
Validate correct formats, aspect ratios, colour profiles, file sizes, and export settings depending on deliverable type.
Confirm correct setup for future adaptation—multi-size, multi-market, multi-format.
3. Toolkit & Guideline Alignment
Assess compliance with campaign toolkit specifications for layout, animation, design systems, colour, typography, grids, motion rules, supers, and safe zones.
Identify deviations or mismatches between the toolkit guidelines and the working file.
4. DAM Upload & Metadata Tagging
Upload approved master files and packaged assets to the client DAM.
Apply correct metadata tagging and taxonomy standards.
Maintain folder structure, naming hygiene, and version control.
Ensure assets are properly searchable, accessible, and catalogued.
5. Communication & Reporting
Share structured QC feedback with internal teams and Tier 1 partners.
Document issues, inconsistencies, and missing components with clarity.
Maintain QC logs, ingest trackers, and process checklists.
