We are looking for an experienced Critical Care Medicine Consultant to manage critically ill patients in the ICU, lead a multidisciplinary team, and ensure high standards of clinical care. You will be responsible for intensive monitoring, diagnosis, and treatment of life-threatening conditions using advanced interventions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide round-the-clock medical care for ICU patients with severe, complex, or multi-organ failure.
- Perform invasive procedures such as intubation, central line insertion, arterial cannulation, and mechanical ventilation.
- Supervise and lead the ICU team including junior doctors, nurses, and respiratory therapists.
- Participate in daily clinical rounds, patient handovers, and interdepartmental case discussions.
- Collaborate with specialists such as cardiologists, neurologists, nephrologists, and surgeons for patient management.
- Develop and implement critical care protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Guide end-of-life care discussions, ethical decisions, and family counseling.
- Participate in infection control, ICU audits, quality initiatives, and CME activities.
Key Requirements :
MBBS + MD / DNB (Anesthesia / Medicine / Pulmonology) + Fellowship (IDCCM / FCCS) or DM in Critical CareValid medical license and critical care training certificationProficient in managing ventilators, ABG interpretation, CRRT, ECMO (if applicable)Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skillsComfortable with night shifts, high-acuity patients, and emergency situationsPreferred Qualifications :
DM / DNB in Critical Care or equivalent international certificationExperience in a tertiary care ICU or transplant ICUResearch or teaching experience in intensive care medicineFamiliarity with ICU EMR and digital documentation systemsSkills Required
