About Us

OptimusPrime Research is a quantitative and high-frequency trading (HFT) firm. We build ultra-low latency trading systems in C++ and Python and operate across multiple global venues, including colocated environments at exchanges. Our trading edge depends on a world-class infrastructure that is fast, secure, and highly reliable.

We are seeking a Trade Support Engineer to join our Bangalore team. This role is key to providing front-line technical and operational support for our electronic trading systems.

Key Responsibilities

Provide front-line support and troubleshoot issues for electronic and manual trading systems during trading hours.
Monitor trading platforms, exchange connectivity, and data flows to ensure reliability and uptime.
Collaborate with traders, developers, and IT teams to resolve incidents quickly and minimize disruption.
Maintain system documentation, incident runbooks, and assist with system upgrades and new feature rollouts.

Required Skills

Bachelor’s or master’s in STEM from a Tier II institution.

Strong technical knowledge of Unix / Linux, SQL, scripting (Python / Shell), and hardware / software troubleshooting.

Understanding of financial markets, trade lifecycles, and asset classes.

Analytical problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication for coordination with internal teams and external vendors.

Flexibility to work varied hours to support global markets.
