Job description

We are seeking a versatile and experienced professional to take on a hybrid role of a Business Analyst / Project Manager. You will be instrumental in the development and launch of a new, strategic product that integrates with our foundational data processing system and approval workflow modules.

This role requires a unique blend of traditional business analysis, project management discipline, and a deep understanding of the travel technology landscape. You will be the vital link between the business vision, technical development teams, and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis :

  • Lead requirements gathering sessions with internal and external stakeholders to define the scope and vision for the new product.
  • Create detailed Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), user stories, and functional specifications.
  • Analyze and model business processes, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency.
  • Help the development team nuances of understanding of travel booking segments (Air, Hotel, Car, Rail), including NDC, LCC, and passive bookings, and how they are processed through a Global Distribution System (GDS).
  • Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements for the development team.
  • Serve as the product expert and point of contact for all functional queries.

Project Management :

  • Develop and manage the end-to-end project plan, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate and lead project meetings, ensuring clear communication and alignment across all teams (Development, QA, Product, and Stakeholders).
  • Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and dependencies.
  • Manage the project backlog, prioritize features, and ensure timely delivery of sprints and releases.
  • Report on project status, progress, and key metrics to senior management.
  • Ensure the final product meets the business objectives and quality standards.

    • Required Skills and Experience

  • 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst / Project Manager within the travel technology sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of GDS platforms (e.g., Sabre, Amadeus, Galileo / Travelport), modern distribution channels like NDC, and their respective APIs and data structures (PNR, profiles, etc.).
  • Proven experience with various travel booking segments (Air, Hotel, Car, Rail), including content from Low-Cost Carriers (LCCs) and the handling of passive segments for reporting and itinerary management.
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, including API integrations, data flows, and system architecture.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing software development projects from conception to launch.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Atlassian) and documentation software.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an Agile / Scrum environment.
  • Familiarity with corporate travel booking tools (OBTs) and TMC operations.
  • Previous experience launching a new product or module in a technology company
