Roles and Responsibilities :
- Provide support for GCP managed infrastructure services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Networking, and other cloud resources .
- Monitor and respond to alerts, incidents, and service requests from clients or internal teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, including VM failures, network connectivity, storage access, and service API errors.
- Work closely with support, engineering, and cloud architects to escalate and resolve complex problems.
- Participate in incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and post-incident reviews.
- Assist in automation and scripting to streamline support processes (using tools like Terraform, gcloud CLI, Python, or Bash).
- Manage GCP IAM policies, quotas, billing alerts, and resource provisioning issues.
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles related to GCP infrastructure support.
- Understands Compute, Network, Storage, Databases, Containers, DevOps, Security Operations, Kubernetes, Micro-services on public cloud platforms
- Support onboarding and migration activities for new customers or workloads on GCP.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices for cloud security, compliance, and performance optimization.
- Provide proactive recommendations for infrastructure improvements and cost optimization.
Skillsets Requirements
Technical Skills
Must have 1 to 3 years' experience in provisioning infrastructure as a service cloud computing for cloud platforms. Exposure to GCP is preferable.Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, VPC, IAM, and Cloud Monitoring.Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts including networking (VPC, VPN, firewall rules), storage, and compute resources.Experience with incident management tools and ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager.Strong troubleshooting skills for cloud infrastructure issues.Familiarity with Linux system administration and command-line tools.Basic scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar) for automation.Understanding of security best practices in cloud environments.Soft Skills

Preferred Qualifications :
Google Cloud Certified – Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Engineer.Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.Knowledge of CI / CD pipelines and DevOps practices.Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Stackdriver, Prometheus, or Grafana.Understanding of networking protocols and troubleshooting (TCP / IP, DNS, HTTP).Educational Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
