Role : Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)

Position Type : Full-Time Contract (40hrs / week)

Contract Duration : Long Term

Work Hours : 3 : 30 AM to 1 : 00 PM EST

Work Schedule : 8 hours / day (Mon-Fri)

Location : 100% Remote

We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA with strong expertise in managing Oracle databases on AWS (EC2 / RDS). The role involves deploying, configuring, monitoring, and tuning databases while ensuring high availability, scalability, and security in mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage Oracle databases on AWS (EC2 / RDS) with proactive monitoring via Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
Perform performance tuning, SQL / PLSQL optimization, backup / recovery (RMAN), and patching.
Implement high availability and disaster recovery (Oracle Data Guard, Multi-AZ RDS).
Manage database security, access control, and compliance.
Collaborate with DevOps and application teams for CI / CD integration and migrations.

Must Haves :

5+ years of Oracle DBA experience in production environments.

Strong hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch).

Deep expertise in Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).

Proficiency in SQL, PL / SQL, performance tuning, and diagnostics.

Experience with RMAN, backup / recovery, and patching.

Nice to Have :

PostgreSQL or SQL Server experience on AWS.

Database migration (Oracle → PostgreSQL) with AWS DMS / Ora2Pg.

AWS certifications (Database Specialty / Solutions Architect).
