POSITION : Director – Manufacturing & Supply Chain Operations

Position Overview
The Director – Manufacturing & Supply Chain Operations will provide strategic and operational leadership across multi-country manufacturing and supply chain networks supporting global apparel brands. This role is responsible for manufacturing excellence, product development, quality, compliance, sustainability, and supply chain optimization within a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in process-driven manufacturing, end-to-end supply chain orchestration, and cross-border operational leadership, ensuring world-class standards in delivery, quality, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Define and execute the regional manufacturing and operations strategy aligned with global business goals.
- Lead and standardize operations across Bangladesh and India manufacturing plants to achieve uniform performance benchmarks.
- Drive plant modernization, automation, and process innovation initiatives to enhance output and cost efficiency.
- Oversee multi-site performance, productivity, and operational KPIs, ensuring world-class customer satisfaction and service reliability.
- Collaborate closely with the regional commercial, product development, and supply chain teams to support growth in new product categories.
Manufacturing Excellence
Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations encompassing production, maintenance, quality, engineering, and capacity planning.Champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and TPM practices to deliver continuous improvement and operational agility.Implement data-driven performance dashboards, production efficiency tracking, and predictive maintenance systems.Ensure compliance with global quality standards, brand audits, and sustainability protocols demanded by international apparel clients.Strengthen plant safety culture through robust EHS policies and continuous workforce training.Supply Chain & Sourcing Management
Oversee demand planning, capacity planning, procurement, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and EXIM operations.Build an agile, customer-responsive supply chain network capable of managing global apparel brand requirements with minimal lead time.Strengthen supplier and vendor development strategies for raw materials, trims, labels, and packaging solutions.Drive sourcing efficiency, logistics optimization, and cost reduction through data analytics and process automation.Manage strategic partnerships with 3PLs and freight forwarders to support timely global delivery.Compliance, Sustainability & Innovation
Lead sustainability programs and drive alignment with global ESG, recycling, and responsible manufacturing initiatives.Ensure strict adherence to social, environmental, and ethical compliance standards required by global retail clients.Integrate sustainability principles into sourcing, manufacturing, and packaging operations.Collaborate with R&D and commercial teams to support new product development (NPD) and introduce innovative labeling and packaging technologies.People Leadership
Lead, develop, and motivate cross-functional teams across multiple plants and geographies.Build leadership capabilities through structured succession planning and talent development.Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational discipline.Key Skills & Competencies

Minimum of 12 years of experience in large-scale manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing multi-plant operations.Industry background : Open to candidates from any manufacturing sector; experience in apparel, packaging, trims, or labeling industries will be a distinct advantage.Strong exposure to both Manufacturing (75%) and Supply Chain (25%) process automation, and efficiency improvement tools.Educational Qualification :Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Industrial Management.Master’s Degree (MBA / MSc in Operations or Industrial Engineering) preferred.
