Key responsibilities
ABAP Programming Design, Develop, Test and implement efficient, scalable, and high-quality ABAP programs to meet business and technical requirements. Adhere to ABAP best practises and standard coding guidelines.
Financial Industry Focus - Leverage expertise in financial systems and SAP modules like FI, CO, HR (PD-ORG) to support business processes and drive improvements in financial reporting, data processing, and analysis.
ICM Module Expertise (Beneficial) - Provide technical support and enhancement recommendations for SAP ICM to optimize commissions and incentive processes.
Planning and estimation - Contribute to project planning, providing accurate estimates for development tasks.
Technical Documentation - Create comprehensive technical documentation, including technical designs, development standards, and user guides for the ABAP developments.
Solution Design Work with functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical insight, and deliver solutions that meet business needs, Design solutions that align with SAP best practices and provide efficient workflows within large-scale financial institutions. Work with functional teams
Optimisation - Optimize existing programs, ensuring scalability, performance, and adherence to best practices.
Testing and Quality Assurance - Conduct thorough unit testing, integration testing, and debugging of custom solutions, ensuring quality and accuracy of code.
System Integration - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SAP ABAP developments with other business applications and systems, ensuring seamless information flow.
Performance Optimization - Monitor and optimize SAP ABAP programs to maintain system performance, scalability, and reliability.
Collaboration - collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide technical solutions.
Mentoring - Guide junior developers and provide expertise and leadership in key development projects.
Additional Job Description
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or relevant field ( or equal work experience).
Minimum 8 years of experience in SAP ABAP development with a focus on financial systems.
Extensive experience in SAP modules FI / CO, with exposure to the SAP ICM (Incentive and Commission Management) module being highly advantageous.
Extensive expertise in ABAP Objects , ALV Reporting, SmartForms, BDC, BAPI, BADI, IDOCs, Enhancement Framework, and User Exits.
Strong understanding of SAP integration technologies ( IDocs, RFC, OData and Web Services ).
Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with cross functional teams.
Excellent time management and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
Experience working in Agile environments and using agile methodologies for development.
