Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to protect our systems, networks, and applications from cyber threats. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security measures, monitoring for potential breaches, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will play a key role in safeguarding sensitive data and maintaining the integrity of our IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities :
- Monitor networks and systems for security breaches or intrusions.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits.
- Design, implement, and manage security tools, firewalls, endpoint protection, and encryption solutions.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, providing detailed analysis and remediation.
- Maintain and update security policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS.
- Train staff on cybersecurity awareness and best practices.
- Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to embed security into systems and software development lifecycles (DevSecOps).
- Research and stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.2 to 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or related IT security roles.Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows / Linux), and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS / IPS, anti-virus / EDR, firewalls, and vulnerability scanners.Knowledge of encryption, authentication, and access control systems.Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and analysis.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Preferred Qualifications :
Industry certifications such as CEH, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, OSCP, or CISM.Experience in cloud security (e.g., AWS security best practices, Azure Security Center).Knowledge of incident response frameworks and digital forensics.Experience working in regulated environments or sectors (e.g., finance, healthcare).(ref : hirist.tech)
