Purpose / Objective
The Project Head is responsible for driving the financial performance and sustainable growth of the water business by implementing strategic initiatives, optimizing revenue, and managing costs. They lead project execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality, safety, and compliance, while building a strong, agile organization and fostering positive client and stakeholder relationships to support business development.
Business Strategy :
Take full accountability for the financial performance of the water business, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth. Implement strategies to optimize revenue, reduce costs, and maximize return on investment
Empower and support the business development team through strong client relationships and stakeholder engagement. Collaborate with the business development team to leverage these relationships for business growth, while focusing on the successful execution of projects
Collaborate with the executive team to identify and assess potential greenfield, brownfield, and M&A opportunities. Provide input and support during the evaluation and decision-making process
Project Management :
Lead project teams to ensure timely completion of projects within the defined cost and quality & safety parameters. Monitor progress, address challenges, and implement corrective actions as necessary
Uphold and enforce the highest standards of quality across all projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the business from potential threats. Establish controls and processes to monitor and manage risks effectively
Ensure that all statutory and regulatory requirements are met and exceeded. Implement governance practices that uphold the integrity and ethical standards of the organization
Organizational Building :
Develop and implement strategies to build a capable and agile organization that can effectively deliver on business targets. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
Mentor and develop a strong team of professionals capable of leading the business. Focus on succession planning, leadership development, and talent retention to build long-term organizational strength
Establish a performance-driven culture across the organization, promoting accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement. Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable for delivering results
Foster a highly engaged workforce by empowering team members, providing them with the necessary tools and resources, and recognizing their contributions. Encourage open communication and collaboration at all levels
Stakeholder and Client Relationship Management :
Act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded. Support business development by fostering positive client relationships that can lead to future opportunities
Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including government bodies, regulatory agencies, and industry partners. Represent the company in industry forums and advocate for favorable policies and regulations
