Website Maintenance & Technical Support Specialist
We are seeking a skilled professional to ensure our website remains secure, accessible, and fully compliant with required standards. This role involves ongoing maintenance, content management, security monitoring, technical troubleshooting, and design / functional enhancements to deliver an engaging and reliable online experience for donors, volunteers, and visitors.
The ideal candidate will take ownership of keeping the site updated, optimized for SEO, compliant with regulations, and integrated with essential tools such as donation systems and CRM platforms.
Requirements
Ongoing Maintenance
Manage content updates including news, event listings, success stories, and impact metrics.
Maintain donation pages and integrations with payment processors.
Implement SEO strategies to keep the website within the top 10 search positions.
Perform regular updates to CMS, themes, plugins, and custom code.
Apply security updates, manage firewall settings, and renew SSL certificates.
Conduct monthly backups with secure off-site storage.
Monitor uptime and site speed.
Design & Functional Refresh
Execute annual or as-needed visual updates to improve engagement.
Ensure donation messaging complies with charitable receipts links.
Enhance accessibility to meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 standards.
Perform mobile responsiveness testing and improvements.
Add or improve features such as newsletter sign-up, volunteer applications, donor recognition pages, and event registration modules.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
Respond to critical technical issues within 24 hours.
Address non-critical issues within 3 business days.
Provide technical consulting for new platform integrations (CRM, donor platforms, analytics, etc.).
Deliverables
Monthly maintenance and update log.
Quarterly site health, analytics, and updates report.
Annual site refresh review with design and functionality recommendations.
Documentation for all custom code and plugin configurations.
Reporting & Communication
Report to the Director of Communications or designated Society lead.
Attend monthly check-ins (video call or email if no discussion points).
Immediately notify the Office Administrator of any security breaches or outages.
Office time : 10 : 00 AM IST to 07 : 00 PM IST
