Key Sales Tasks & Skills
1. Make outbound calls to India-based leads to promote tours and sell tour packages
- Action : This involves proactive telemarketing . You are initiating contact (the 'outbound call') with a list of potential customers ( leads ) who have shown some previous interest (e.g., filled out a form, visited a website).
- Goal : To directly promote the various tour packages (e.g., holidays to Goa, Kerala, international trips) and achieve a sale.
- Required Skill : High-volume calling in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, English , rapport building , and a deep understanding of the product portfolio.
2. Explain product benefits clearly and confidently to prospective customers
Action : This is the core of the sales pitch. It's not enough to list features (e.g., '5 nights, 6 days'). You must translate those features into benefits that appeal to the customer (e.g., 'This 5-night package gives you two extra days of relaxation on the beach compared to shorter trips, letting you fully de-stress').Goal : To create desire and show the customer the value of the tour package, justifying the price.Required Skill : Clear articulation , product knowledge , and confidence to project authority and trustworthiness.3. Handle objections and convert leads into active subscribers
