Server Administrator

About the RoleWe are looking for a Server Administrator with at least 4 years of hands-on experience to maintain, secure, and optimize our server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, performance, and security of all server operations, work with cross-functional teams, and help scale our infrastructure as business demands grow.Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain physical & virtual servers (Windows & Linux).
• Manage all server resources including provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and decommissioning; ensure the server environment is well-organized and maintained.
• Monitor server performance; troubleshoot issues related to CPU, memory, disk, network.
• Apply patches, perform upgrades & manage software-updates.
• Manage backup & disaster recovery—ensure data integrity and regular restore testing.
• Implement & enforce security best practices : firewalls, access control, vulnerability patches.
• Apply and manage website security patches and updates to guard against web-based vulnerabilities.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, AD / LDAP, DNS / DHCP services.
• Automate routine tasks via scripting (PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
• Produce and maintain clear documentation of server configurations, changes, and policies.
• On-call support & respond to server incidents or outages promptly.Required Skills & Qualifications
• 4 years of experience in server / systems administration.
• Strong with both Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, firewall).
• Experience with virtualization (VMware / Hyper-V / etc.).
• Proficiency in scripting / automation.
• Knowledge of backup / recovery, disaster recovery planning.
• Strong troubleshooting & problem solving.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
