RESPONSIBILITIES : AWS CLOUD ENGINEER
Cloud Infrastructure Design & Deployment :
- Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure solutions on AWS.
- Manage VPCs, subnets, route tables, and NAT gateways for proper network segmentation and communication.
Automation & CI / CD :
Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.Set up CI / CD pipelines using AWS Code Pipeline, Jenkins, GitLab CI / CD, or similar tools.Monitoring & Optimization :
Monitor infrastructure using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and third-party tools (e.G., Datadog, Prometheus).Identify cost optimization opportunities and implement best practices to reduce cloud expenses.Security & Compliance :
Implement IAM policies, roles, and least-privilege access controls.Ensure compliance with security standards (e.G., ISO, SOC2, GDPR, HIPAA as applicable). Manage and automate backup, disaster recovery, and failover strategies.Operational Support :
Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and application-level issues.Perform routine maintenance tasks and upgrades.Collaborate with DevOps, developers, and other teams to support cloud-based applications.Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.Minimum of 6-7 years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.Skills :
Expertise in core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS / EKS, VPC, Route 53, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudFormation).Strong understanding of networking (DNS, VPN, load balancing, firewalls, etc.Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).Familiarity with Linux system administration and shell scriptingExperience with CI / CD tools and version control systems (Git).Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes / EKS).Strong problem-solving and communication skillsLocation
