Job Mission
You will fully own Hoora's product and growth analytics stack , acting as the chief translator between raw data and business strategy. Your mission is to establish a single source of truth for all core business metrics, drive decision-making through deep consumer behaviour analysis, and directly influence growth initiatives, retention, and marketplace liquidity.
Key Responsibilities
1. Analytics Architecture & Governance (The Data Foundation)
- MongoDB Expertise : Design and write advanced MongoDB Atlas aggregation pipelines and queries for complex analyses (user events, funnels, retention cohorts).
- Infrastructure Ownership : Build and maintain interactive, high-reliability dashboards using Metabase and MongoDB Charts for cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Ops).
- Data Governance : Establish and enforce standards for data quality, versioning, and reproducibility, ensuring every metric definition is consistent across the organisation.
2. Growth and User Behaviour Analysis
Instrumentation & Tracking : Own the event instrumentation pipelines across Netcore (or similar CDP), GA4 , and app SDKs, ensuring data integrity and attribution accuracy.Core Metrics : Lead deep-dive analyses on unit economics, LTV / CAC, cohort retention, engagement, and churn . Present clear, action-oriented findings to executive leadership.Marketplace Liquidity : Provide specialised analysis on marketplace dynamics, including supply / demand balance, operational efficiency, and pricing optimisation.3. Experimentation & Product Partnership
A / B Testing : Design and support the analytical framework for all A / B testing and experimentation (e.g., pricing, feature rollouts), rigorously measuring and reporting on conversion impact.Product Collaboration : Partner directly with Product Managers to define tracking requirements for new features and ensure the analytical setup aligns with business objectives.Leadership & Mentorship : Act as the subject matter expert, defining best practices and mentoring junior team members.Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience (Mandatory) : 4–6+ years in a hands-on analytics or data science role, specifically for consumer-tech, D2C, or marketplace companies .Technical Stack Expertise (Mandatory) :MongoDB Atlas Expert : Proficient in aggregation pipelines, indexing, query optimisation, and utilising MongoDB Charts.SQL & Dashboarding : Expert proficiency in SQL and Metabase (or similar BI tool) for complex querying and reporting.Event Tracking : Hands-on experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and marketing / CDP platforms like Netcore for event and data layer management.Analytical Acumen : Proven ability to independently design funnels, cohorts, and robust attribution models .Communication : Exceptional skill in translating complex, technical findings into clear, simple business insights for non-technical leadership.Bonus Qualifications
