Job description

JOB PURPOSE

To drive Non-Aero revenues through digital marketing and partnerships. Execute the online marketing calendar through effective digital consumer marketing programs and alliances / partnerships with online sites ( like Makemytrip, Yatra etc ) , tourism companies and governmental tourism arms and to monetize the DIAL website through effective web contracts.

He / she will be accountable for driving Aero Related services business and special projects, lead team for revenue enhancement, new business streams / opportunities, managing the accounts, contracts, and relationships with the concessionaires operating the Aviation ancillary businesses at IGI Airport, including Ground Handling, Line Maintenance, In-Flight Kitchen, Fuel Farm, etc. He / she will also be responsible for all policy advocacy related matters for these businesses.

ORGANISATION CHART

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Commercial planning and drive process for appointment of Concessionaires for aviation Ancillary businesses / Opportunities as per requirement
  • Creation of Business Case, RFP Key Terms and Conditions
  • Drive RFP Process for appointment of agencies - Creation of RFP documents, Release of RFP, Evaluation process, Contract structuring, award of contract, etc.
  • Accountability of overall aviation ancillary businesses at IGI Airport, Delhi
  • Keep track of policies / regulatory provisions related to Ground Handling, In-Flight Kitchen, Fuel Farm, etc.
  • Support DIAL through notes / letters / drafts on issues pertaining to these ancillary businesses.
  • Responsible for all concession contracts in aviation ancillary businesses
  • Drive and ensure Contract provisions adherence / compliances through systematic timely tracking and institutionalizing monitoring framework.
  • Monitor implementation of concession contracts in terms of ensuring SLA compliance, invoicing, periodic investments by concessionaires in line with concession agreements etc.
  • Ensure Regular Revenue Audits, strong governance and plugging any Revenue leakage / gaps.
  • Develop and ensure strong Stakeholders bonding and commitment to Revenue growth while maintaining operational efficiencies
  • Strategic Planning and Revenue growth from Aviation ancillary businesses
  • Explore avenues for growth of Revenue from these aviation ancillary businesses
  • Keep track of industry benchmarks / advancements in these businesses and engage with concessionaires to encourage them for such advancements
  • Drive strategic business agenda with concessionaires
  • SOP for managing these businesses
  • Drive SOPs for managing these businesses in terms of contract monitoring / implementation
  • Engage with other departments / peers / HODs to lead project activities for these businesses
  • Drive Action planning and aligning other DIAL departments for implementation of projects / constructions etc. for these businesses
  • Team Development and Engagement
  • Guiding, developing, and mentoring the team members reporting to this position

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA from a premier reputed institute
  • Candidate should possess excellent communication skills – both verbal and written. He / she should be clear and effective in communicating his / her ideas or thoughts.
  • Candidate should be adept at business planning, project management and Analytics
  • Candidate should have strong interpersonal skills to work with internal and external stakeholders.
  • RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

    12 – 15 years of overall professional experience

    Experience in airport sector will be preferred

    Experience of having managed or having worked in aviation ancillary business will be preferred.
