Job Title : Remote Tech Lead Backend Developer.

Location : Remote / Hybrid (Preferred regions : EMEA, USA, UK, Japan).

Experience : 27 years.

Type : Full-time / Contract.

Your Role :

As a Tech Lead Backend Developer, you will play a key role in leading backend architecture design, managing a team of developers, and delivering scalable, high-performance backend systems.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define technical direction, establish best practices, and ensure timely, secure, and efficient backend development.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead the architecture, design, and development of complex backend systems and APIs.
  • Mentor and manage a small team of backend developers, conducting regular code reviews and technical evaluations.
  • Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, and DevOps to align technical implementation with business goals.
  • Define and enforce backend coding standards, design principles, and best practices.
  • Optimize performance, scalability, and security of backend services.
  • Handle database design, data modeling, and performance tuning.
  • Take ownership of deployment, monitoring, and system reliability in production environments.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions.

Tech Skills We Value :

  • Advanced proficiency in Node.js, Python, Java, or Go.
  • Deep experience with RESTful and GraphQL APIs, microservices architecture.
  • Strong background in MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, or similar databases.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI / CD, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Solid understanding of AWS, GCP, or Azure services.
  • Expertise in scalable backend architectures and distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in testing frameworks and performance monitoring tools.

  • 5+ years of professional experience in backend development.
  • 12+ years of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Ability to make architectural decisions and drive technical roadmaps.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A self-starter mindset with attention to quality, performance, and detail.
