Software Engineering Manager

Job descriptionCode daily. Set the bar high for code quality, performance, and maintainability. Lead and grow a high-performing team across engineering, QA, and UX. Drive improvements in application performance , observability , and automated testing across our stack. Architect and evolve mission-critical systems for a modern, scalable SaaS platform. Build robust logging, monitoring, and alerting strategies using Azure-native and third-party tools. Collaborate closely with product, design, and customer-facing teams. Own and improve engineering workflows, CI / CD pipelines, and deployment strategies. Perform in-depth code reviews and guide the team in writing clean, testable code. Champion TDD, performance profiling, and shift-left testing practices. Hire, mentor, and retain top engineering talent while fostering a high-performance culture. 10+ years of professional software development experience. 5+ years in a software engineering management or tech lead role. You currently write code every day and are hands-on with modern systems. Expert-level skills in : .NET (C#) — backend APIs and service architecture SQL — advanced queries, performance tuning, stored procedures Angular — component-based front-end development Azure — App Services, SQL, Functions, DevOps Pipelines Proven experience in : Building and scaling observable systems (logs, metrics, traces, alerts) Improving application performance and reducing technical debt Implementing and enforcing automated testing strategies Experience with AI / ML APIs, analytics platforms, or customer-facing insights features. Knowledge of Docker, Cloudflare, SendGrid, or Twilio. Exposure to multi-region cloud deployments or global scaling challenges.

- 50% of your time will be spent coding —not reviewing, not architecting— coding.
- 50% leading a team of developers, QA engineers, and designers.
If you're not currently writing production-quality code every day in .NET, SQL, Angular , and Azure , this role is not for you.
If you haven't led cross-functional engineering teams for 5+ years , and if you have not been coding for 10 years, please do not apply.
