Job Overview
We are seeking a Junior Purchase Officer to join our team in Vadodara. This full-time position focuses on the efficient procurement of materials and managing vendor relationships. Candidates should have 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in purchasing or procurement. The role emphasizes strong negotiation skills and proficiency in procurement software.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in vendor management and procurement software such as SAP Ariba or Oracle Procurement Cloud (Mandatory skill).
- Demonstrated negotiation skills to effectively collaborate with vendors and secure best pricing and terms (Mandatory skill).
- Strong understanding of supply chain management to ensure seamless procurement and delivery of materials.
- Capability in data analysis to assess and optimize purchasing decisions based on past trends and forecasts.
- Experience in contract management to ensure compliance with vendor agreements and company procurement policies.
- Budgeting skills to manage and allocate funds effectively for purchasing activities and cost control.
- Expertise in purchase order management to track monitor and complete purchase orders in a timely manner.
- Collaborative and communication skills to work effectively with various departments and stakeholders.
Roles and Responsibilities
Negotiate with vendors to acquire the best deals on materials ensuring high quality and cost-efficiency.Manage procurement software systems to streamline purchasing processes and maintain accurate records.Analyze market trends to forecast procurement needs and strategize purchasing activities accordingly.Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate long-term contracts.Coordinate with the supply chain and logistics departments to ensure timely delivery of materials.Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed to avoid shortages or overstock situations.Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and ethical standards.Report on purchasing metrics to stakeholders and provide insights for continuous process improvement.Required Experience :
