Job description

Key Responsibilities :

End-to-End Procurement Management (P2P Cycle) :

  • Oversee the entire procurement process, including Vendor Confirmation, Auto PO Fixation, Rush Orders, Vendor Master Data Management, Expediting, E-Sourcing, and Service Master Agreement creation.
  • Manage Global Procurement and Sourcing from US-based suppliers.

Price and Data Analysis :

  • Analyse supplier pricing to ensure the company meets budget expectations or report necessary adjustments to master data files.

    • Supplier Coordination :

  • Ensure suppliers meet the required timing for materials.
  • Advise internal teams about delivery delays as soon as they're identified.

    • Purchase Requisition and Vendor Sourcing :

  • Review purchase requisitions and identify appropriate sources for supply.
  • Utilize E-Sourcing tools to create Service Master Agreements and manage contract terms.

    • Negotiation :

  • Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, payment terms, and conditions to achieve cost savings for the business.

    • Team Leadership :

  • Lead a team of 7-10 members, providing guidance and support for efficient operations.

    • Reporting and Analysis :

  • Publish weekly and monthly reports (SLA dashboards, MIS reports, PowerPoint presentations) and send them to the supervisor.
  • Ensure timely payment processing by collaborating with the finance department, resolving invoice discrepancies, and ensuring payments are in line with agreed terms.

    • Purchase Order Creation in SAP :

  • Create and manage purchase orders in SAP to ensure proper documentation and tracking.

    • Expediting Orders :

  • Expedite orders as needed to ensure timely delivery of goods, services, and works.

    • Basic Minimum Qualifications :

  • Associate degree or higher (preferred).
  • Progressive experience in purchasing, with exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with data analysis using an enterprise procurement system.
  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (ideal).
  • Demonstrated track record of motivation and success.
  • Experience in a laboratory setting or within the Bio / Life Sciences industry is preferred.
  • Background in Operations or Supply Chain Management is a plus.
