ISIR.AI is advancing coastal and marine analytics across Asia, and we’re looking for a driven Coastal Modeler who’s ready to tackle real-world challenges in hydrodynamic modeling, wave transformation, and metocean data analytics .
This is not a routine modeling job — it’s an opportunity to work with advanced MIKE 21 systems , build data pipelines using Python , and contribute to strategic marine and energy infrastructure studies guided by senior experts.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Assist in setting up, calibrating, and validating MIKE 21 / MIKE Zero models for wind, wave, current, and water level analysis.
- Run cyclonic and non-cyclonic simulations and contribute to return period assessments for extreme marine events.
- Support sediment transport, wave-current interaction, and coastal evolution studies.
- Handle large metocean datasets (ERA5, ECMWF, satellite, and buoy data) for pre- and post-processing.
- Automate data pipelines, model runs, and result extraction using Python and visualization libraries.
- Collaborate with senior modelers on report preparation, interpretation of results, and quality validation .
🔹 Required Skills & Tools
Proficiency in MIKE 21 / MIKE Zero (HD, SW, ST, Coupled modules).Strong skills in Python , including data manipulation (pandas, xarray), visualization (matplotlib, seaborn), and automation.Sound understanding of hydrodynamics, fluid mechanics, and coastal processes .Ability to perform return period, extreme value, and statistical analysis .Exposure to mesh design, boundary conditions, and validation workflows .🔹 Preferred Qualifications
M.Tech / M.Sc. in Coastal Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or Marine Science .3–6 years of experience in metocean or coastal modeling roles.Hands-on experience in model-data comparison, sensitivity analysis, and result interpretation .Exposure to LNG, offshore wind, or coastal infrastructure projects is an added advantage.At ISIR.AI, you’ll work on high-impact projects where modeling results directly influence decisions for LNG terminals, coastal resilience, and energy transition planning .
