As we expand, we are seeking a Director of Strategic Growth to lead our outreach and relationship-building across high-impact education and professional markets.
Role Overview
The Director of Strategic Growth will play a pivotal role in driving revenue and partnerships across key sectors :
- Colleges and universities (including community colleges and executive education)
- Educational publishers and eLearning distribution partners
- Non-profits and professional associations
- Corporations and enterprise clients
This is a strategic, high-touch role requiring direct outreach, consultative selling, and inbound opportunity conversion. You will identify new partnership opportunities, manage the full sales cycle, and build long-term relationships that deliver learning and business outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Client Acquisition & Growth
Develop and execute outreach strategies to engage decision-makers at academic institutions, publishers, associations, and enterprise L&D teams.Qualify and convert inbound leads into long-term clients, articulating value across the full product suite.Establish and maintain a pipeline of high-value opportunities aligned to quarterly and annual targets.Build channel partnerships with third-party content platforms and academic technology service providers.Solution Selling
Present Starweaver’s offerings—content, platforms, custom services, and AI-driven tools—as integrated solutions to client challenges.Scope and co-create client solutions using :Starweaver Originals – business / tech certifications aligned with employability and upskillingCustom Content Services – bespoke courses and programsWhite-label LMS – branded delivery and learner management environmentsJourneybuilder – hyper-personalization engine including the “Astro” voice-enabled learning coachPartnership Development
Build strong executive relationships that result in recurring and expanding revenue.Collaborate closely with Starweaver’s product, content, and marketing teams to align go-to-market initiatives and client onboarding.Support RFP responses and proposals with a focus on academic and nonprofit sectors.Qualifications
Experience
7+ years in sales or business development roles within edtech, higher education, learning technology, or professional development sectors.Proven track record of B2B sales success, especially with colleges / universities, publishers, and L&D organizations.Experience working with LMS platforms, learning content licensing, or custom content solutions is strongly preferred.Skills & Traits
Hunter mindset with the ability to independently drive new business.Strategic thinker with excellent consultative selling and relationship management skills.Comfortable navigating long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders (academic deans, CIOs, CHROs, etc.).Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.Education
