About the Role
We are looking for an experienced
SEO Manager from the Travel / OTA (Online Travel Agency) domain
who will be responsible for building, leading, and managing the SEO team. The candidate must have deep expertise in driving
high-intent traffic, generating leads, improving search visibility , and increasing business conversions for
Flight Bookings, Hotel Bookings, Car Rentals, and Holiday Packages .
The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with
competitive SEO techniques , strong analytical skills, and the ability to deliver measurable growth through
white-hat SEO practices
and
advanced SEO strategies
that help us stay ahead in a highly competitive industry.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Strategy
Lead, mentor, and manage the in-house SEO team.
Develop and execute complete SEO strategy for
travel booking portals .
Set KPIs, monitor performance, and align the SEO strategy with lead generation and call-generation goals.
Coordinate with content, design, tech, and sales teams to ensure smooth execution of SEO initiatives.
Performance, Ranking & Traffic Growth
Drive organic traffic growth for
Flight, Hotel, Car Rental, and Travel Package
pages.
Optimize landing pages to increase
calls, bookings, and leads .
Improve SERP rankings for high-intent travel keywords in multiple geographies (US / UK / EU preferred).
Technical SEO
Perform detailed website audits and fix technical SEO issues including :
Crawlability & indexing
Core Web Vitals
Schema markup (Flights, Hotels, Reviews, FAQs)
Page speed optimization
URL, sitemap & robots optimization
On-Page & Off-Page SEO
Plan and execute on-page optimization strategies including keyword mapping, content planning, meta optimization, internal linking, etc.
Execute powerful off-page strategies such as :
High-quality link building
Partnerships, guest posts, travel blogs outreach
Brand mentions and referral link acquisition
Identify opportunities for content expansion in
travel guides, flight deals, routes, location pages, and seasonal offers .
Lead Generation & Call Generation
Build landing pages optimized for
click-to-call ,
quote requests , and
conversion funnels .
Set up tracking systems to measure call conversions from SEO channels.
Work closely with the sales / call center team to monitor call volume from organic sources.
Data & Analytics
Track and report SEO performance using tools like :
Google Analytics / GA4
Google Search Console
Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz
Screaming Frog
Prepare weekly and monthly reports showing growth in :
Keyword rankings
Organic bookings & leads
Website traffic and CTR
Call-based conversions
Competitive Intelligence
Analyze competitor travel agencies / OTA websites.
Identify gaps and areas where our website can outrank them using
advanced SEO tactics , ensuring competitive advantage.
Stay updated with search engine algorithm updates and industry trends.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum
4–6 years of SEO experience , with at least
2 years in the Travel / OTA domain .
Proven record of driving
traffic, leads, and bookings
through SEO.
Strong understanding of travel funnel— flight routes, hotel destinations, seasonal trends, route-based search behavior , etc.
Experience managing SEO teams.
Strong technical SEO skills.
Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
Ability to work in a high-pressure, target-oriented environment.
Candidates must have
never been involved in any unethical, fraudulent, or policy-violating practices .
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with international SEO (US, UK, Canada, Australia).
Knowledge of call-tracking tools like CallRail or similar.
Understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO).
Ability to work with content writers, web developers, and digital marketing teams.
