Job Description

We are seeking an experienced DataStage Developer to design, develop, and maintain ETL solutions that support business data integration and transformation needs. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in IBM InfoSphere DataStage development and must be comfortable working in early morning rotational shifts (Tuesday to Saturday, 6 AM to 12 PM IST).

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy ETL jobs using IBM DataStage.

Work on data integration, transformation, and loading processes from multiple sources.

Optimize ETL workflows and improve data performance and scalability.

Collaborate with business analysts and data architects to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Perform troubleshooting, error handling, and production support for ETL jobs.

Ensure data integrity and quality across systems and environments.

Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to data governance and development standards.

Mandatory Skills (Must Have)

6–8 years of hands-on experience with IBM InfoSphere DataStage (v11.x or later).

Strong understanding of ETL design principles, data warehousing concepts, and data modeling.

Experience in SQL, Unix / Linux shell scripting, and job performance tuning.

Knowledge of data quality, error handling, and metadata management.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global environment.

Willingness to work Tuesday to Saturday, 6 AM – 12 PM IST on a rotational basis.

Good To Have Skills

Experience with Control-M or other job scheduling tools.

Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP).

Experience in Agile / Scrum development environments.

Basic understanding of data governance frameworks and data security practices.
