Key responsibilities include :
- Understanding user requirements, collecting information, checking feasibility, and suggesting alternate solutions related to all MEP works.
- Reviewing drawings and BOQs submitted by consultants and ME / Plant teams for further approval from the MEP head.
- Knowledge of item rates based on market prices of HVAC systems.
- Initiating technical recommendations for vendor finalization.
- Arranging kick-off meetings with consultants, appointed vendors, and plant teams to start projects.
- Executing, monitoring, and handing over HVAC, utility piping, FAPA system, STP, ETP, ZLD, and electrical services works to ensure plans are executed within timelines to begin operation.
Maintenance and Quality Control
Responsible for managing project trackers, supervising agencies connected with MEP works, supporting vendors for adherence to approved drawings, BOQ specifications, and schedules. Also responsible for quality testing checklists for materials and procedures as well as Varroc civil / Mep standards.Generating weekly reports in adherence to project trackers.Performing day-to-day supervision and control over workmanship of different contractors and agencies connected with MEP and utility works.Supervising and executing construction according to approved drawings and BOQ specifications with standard makes and time schedules from vendors.Timely inspection of all inward materials in accordance with Varroc standard make lists and finalized BOQs.Arranging on-site feasible technical testing along with plant teams as per site requirements.Implementing and adhering to quality testing checklists for materials and procedures.Preparing snag lists and coordinating with vendors to complete any pending work before issuing completion certificates.Handing over relevant documents such as As-Built drawings, material O&M manuals, test certificates of equipment, calibration certificates, NOC from Electrical Inspector & Fire Officer, and yearly budgets to the plant team.Coordination with External Agencies
Conducting site visits of vendors and meeting with users to understand their requirements.Coordinating with plant teams on shutdown of plants for upgradation of projects.Ensuring 100% safety of workers during execution of MEP projects.Billing
Validating bills according to BOQs and POs against actual usage, maintaining relevant documents, and following up with finance for payment as per PO terms. Updating bill trackers.Validating bills according to BOQs and POs and actual site executions with proper measurement sheets and quality checks.Ensuring all supporting documents like JMR, standard make materials, DC, and gate entries for billing processes.Following up with finance teams for vendor payments as per PO terms.Work Experience
Minimum : BE / B.Tech Mechanical – 8-10 years of experience in HVAC system design and execution.Knowledge of ASHRAE, IS Code, IEC code, NBC, NFPA, Green building codes, CPCB / SPCB, CGWA / SGWA.Execution, monitoring, and handover of HVAC, utility piping, FAPA system, STP, ETP, ZLD, and electrical services works to ensure that plans are executed within timelines to begin operation.Knowledge in HVAC design, review, and evaluate DBR and design drawing.Skills :
Proficiency in MS Office package.AutoCAD.SAP.MS Project.Communication & Inter-Personal Skill.
