Role Overview
WFS is looking for a passionate Business System Analyst to join our IT organization in Bengaluru, with a medium-term objective of contributing to the growth of the Indian Cargo market. The Business System Analyst will manage the portfolio of business applications, act as a subject matter expert on the cargo management system (ERP / logistics / supply chain) / Warehouse Management System and plays an active role in transforming and evolving business applications to support cargo operations.
Key Responsibilities
Business Applications Management
- Manage the portfolio of business applications in Bengaluru, building a service model with clearly defined roles and responsibilities.
- Requirement gathering from business owners and translate the requirements for development for ERP vendors.
- Ensure effective support and administration services for front-end and back-end solutions and API integration.
- Oversee system evolution through a structured Change Management process.
CMS Centre of Expertise
Establish a Centre of Expertise for CMS / WMS applications preferably KALE suite (ACS and Galaxy), injecting knowledge into the WFS organization.Act as a subject matter expert for business applications.Train and support internal stakeholders in the effective use of CMS / WMS solutions.Transformation & Projects
Actively participate in the transformation of business-related applications, assuming roles such as Project coordinator or similar.Collaborate with internal stakeholders and global IT to ensure business applications meet operational requirements.Align IT projects with business goals, ensuring on-time delivery and operational impact.Vendor & Release Management
Manage relationships with software vendors, ensuring smooth release management processes.Coordinate upgrades, patches, and system enhancements with internal and external teams.Track vendor performance against service expectations and escalate issues where necessary.Security & Compliance
Apply application security principles to business applications, ensuring compliance with security standards.Support audits, risk assessments, and documentation related to business systems.Implement controls to safeguard sensitive data across applications.Qualification
Education – Education – BCA / MCA Graduate / Postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.Experience – 2–4 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst or Application Manager and handling Cargo application / ERP / logistics / supply chain systems, preferably within logistics, aviation, or related industries.P rocess Modelling – Strong experience in process modelling with expertise in tools such as Microsoft Visio, Enterprise Architect, or other modelling platforms (desirable).Requirements Gathering – Hands-on experience in eliciting and documenting user and business requirements, including the design and coordination of software / technology trials and proofs of concept.SDLC Knowledge – Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), with a strong focus on functional design. Experience in non-functional design will be considered an advantage.
