This is an India-based, work-from-home, position. You do not have to work on US time but a few hours of overlap daily between IST and US Eastern Time will be needed.

We are a US-based food distribution company expanding rapidly into global markets, and we are looking for an exceptional Cost Accountant to join our core Future Initiatives team. This is a senior-level opportunity to work directly with executive leadership and help shape the future of a growing international business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced cost accounting analysis across manufacturing, packaging, warehousing, logistics, and distribution operations
  • Evaluate new business initiatives and expansion opportunities, building financial models and scenario analyses to assess viability and ROI
  • Develop and manage profit center-level reporting at both macro and micro scales, enabling strategic decision-making
  • Design and maintain cost structures and forecasting models that support future growth initiatives and operational efficiency
  • Partner directly with executive leadership to translate strategic ideas into actionable financial frameworks

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment is required
  • Professional certification such as CMA (India) or equivalent is required
  • Experience in both India as well as the Middle East is desirable
  • Demonstrated expertise in scenario modeling, cost allocation, profitability analysis, and capital project evaluation
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to quickly understand complex operational models
  • Exposure to global shipping, logistics, and warehousing cost structures is a plus
