Job Description
The Senior Consultant (WMS) will be responsible for evaluating, stabilizing, and optimizing Oracle WMS Cloud implementations, with an emphasis on system integration with Oracle Fusion ERP, inventory reconciliation, and warehouse process efficiency. The role requires hands-on experience in diagnosing transactional failures, improving synchronization accuracy, and enabling end-to-end automation of warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the subject matter expert on Oracle WMS Cloud configuration, integration, and optimization.
- Analyze inventory, receipt, and shipment discrepancies between WMS and Fusion; design and implement corrective solutions.
- Implement and manage custom PaaS-based reconciliation frameworks, comparing inventory balances across systems daily to identify and resolve mismatches.
- Work directly with business users and technical teams to monitor, investigate, and eliminate integration errors (e.g., sequencing, failed API calls, or XML transmission issues).
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on failed or delayed transactions (e.g., PO receipts, putaway confirmations, shipment failures).
- Optimize WMS features and configurations — cycle counting, replenishment, task management, cartonization, and cross-docking.
- Advise on operational best practices, including minimizing sub-inventories in Fusion and using WMS as the “system of record” for physical transactions.
- Design, document, and enforce daily discrepancy resolution processes in collaboration with warehouse operations teams.
- Identify underutilized functionalities and recommend feature enablements (e.g., automated PO cancellation, slotting, planning integrations).
