We are looking for an experienced Linux Administrator - L3 to provide advanced support for Linux server environments, primarily focused on SUSE Linux. The role involves handling critical incidents, outages, and customer escalations while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure service stability and resolution.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide Level 3 support for Linux server infrastructure in on-premise and cloud environments.
- Handle critical incidents, outages, on-call support, and customer escalations.
- Drive issues to closure by coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Manage and maintain SUSE Linux servers across physical and virtual environments.
- Build, reimage, and configure SUSE Linux servers as per business requirements.
- Administer Linux virtual machines running on VMware ESX environments.
- Perform OS patching, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation.
- Manage and maintain antivirus solutions on Linux servers.
- Work on ITSM processes including Incident, Change, Service Request, and Problem Management.
- Provide guidance and technical expertise to L1 / L2 support teams.
- Maintain documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Strong hands-on experience with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES).Experience managing IBM, Dell, Lenovo, Fujitsu, and HP HANA appliance servers.Solid knowledge of DNS, NFS, Samba, FTP, LDAP, NTP, and email services.Understanding of SAN / NAS storage environments.Strong knowledge of RAID and LVM concepts.Experience working in enterprise production environments.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Self-starter with a strong ownership mindset and customer-focused approach.(ref : hirist.tech)
