About the Role
We’re looking for a creative and driven Social Media Associate to grow and manage our brand channels — including the main EssentiallySports Instagram page and other key social handles. You’ll work closely with internal teams to ideate, create, and execute social-first content that fuels engagement, builds brand love, and makes EssentiallySports a go-to name in digital sports media.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Ideation & Creation : Develop daily post ideas, reels, and campaigns tailored for U.S. sports fans, mirroring the tone, style, and virality of top sports pages.
- Platform Execution : Manage publishing schedules, craft catchy captions, and optimize content for Instagram and other social platforms.
- Brand Channel Ownership : Own the voice, growth, and aesthetic of EssentiallySports’ main brand channels.
- Cross-Team Collaboration : Partner with design, editorial, and marketing teams to translate brand priorities into engaging, social-first stories.
- Trend Spotting : Identify emerging trends, formats, and algorithm shifts to keep our pages ahead of the curve.
- On-Page Engagement : Interact with our sports community — respond to comments, host polls and quizzes, and foster meaningful fan interactions.
- Performance Reporting : Track performance metrics (reach, engagement, follower growth) and share data-driven insights to refine strategy.
What We’re Looking For
1-3 years of experience in social media, brand marketing, or digital content (internships count!).Strong understanding of American sports (NFL, NBA, MLB, NCAA, etc.).A creative, social-first thinker who knows what makes content click.Proficiency in Instagram, Reels, meme trends, and short-form video culture.Strong written communication and collaboration skills.A self-starter mindset — proactive, curious, and ready to experiment.Details :
