SSAB Special Steels is looking for a proactive, effective, and performance-driven Employee Health and Safety Manager for our new cutting and bending center in Taloja, Navi Mumbai. The ideal candidate will be a Highly motivated, someone who always conducts business with high ethical standards, and a detail-oriented professional with a focus for Safety.

About the position

Responsible for Navi Mumbai plant’s management with developing and implement SSAB strategy, policy and procedures, meanwhile ensure the organizations comply with all applicable related national and local laws and regulations. Be the responsible party for everything related to production and meet the needs of the distribution center in Navi Mumbai.

Main responsibilities

  • Fully implement, perform and follow SSAB Environmental, Health and Safety Policy, Procedure and Guideline, EHS principle.
  • Close work with local government to make sure that SSAB India complies with all EHS related laws and regulations, corporate policy and standards and new projects in India.
  • Take proactive action to control and eliminate activities that involve safety, occupational health and environmental risks, make continuous improvements and be committed to providing a safe and healthy work place for all employees.
  • Work together with HR to develop and manage environment and employee health and safety action plans.
  • Record and report EHS activities and deviations in timely manner according to internal and external rules and regulations.
  • Lead maintenance team to manage site facility maintenance with TPM methodology and continuous improvement to support production efficiency.
  • Other tasks assigned by manager.

About You

  • Bachelor degree or above in EHS or manufacturing / engineering.
  • 5 years EHS / maintenance experience.
  • Be familiar with Indian EHS laws & safety related regulations.
  • Be familiar with QMS, such as ISO 9001 / 14001.
  • Good communication and influencing skill.
  • Open-minded and result-oriented.
  • Good at written and spoken English.
