Job Description : Student Counsellor
Role Purpose
Support the smooth and timely progression of students from one academic level to the next by monitoring their readiness, engaging with parents, and coordinating with internal teams. The role ensures students receive the right guidance while maintaining accurate upgradation records and achieving set targets.

- Student Upgradation Coordination
- Monitor student performance, attendance, and engagement to identify those eligible for level advancement.
- Maintain a systematic follow-up process to ensure timely upgradation without delays.
- Parent Communication
- Contact parents to discuss student progress, explain upgradation criteria, and clarify next steps.
- Maintain professional, clear, and supportive communication to address any concerns.
- Internal Team Collaboration
- Coordinate closely with scheduling, faculty, and allocation teams to ensure smooth batch shifting for upgraded students.
- Share relevant student information to avoid operational gaps.
- Record Management
- Update all tracking sheets and databases regularly with accurate student progress and upgradation status.
- Maintain clear documentation of communications and pending cases.
- Target Achievement
- Work towards weekly and monthly upgradation goals set by the management.
- Implement planned follow-ups and conversion strategies to achieve targets consistently.
- Retention & Engagement Support
- Identify students showing low engagement and conduct timely follow-ups to support their continuation.
- Collaborate with mentors or faculty to resolve student-specific challenges.
- Reporting
- Prepare weekly reports summarizing completed upgrades, pending students, and key action points.
- Highlight challenges and suggest improvements for smoother upgradation processes.
