Yokel is building a platform that connects local businesses, communities, and fundraisers in a seamless, automated way. Users make purchases at participating merchants, and automatically support local causes—no manual tracking, no friction.

Our mobile app is central to this experience : event discovery, QR-code-based deep linking, real-time fundraiser progress, purchase insights, and community engagement. We are growing quickly and are looking for a senior engineer who can help us scale our React Native application with quality, performance, and great user experience.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior React Native Developer to join the Yokel mobile application team. You will be a part of developing and managing major feature builds, architecture decisions, performance improvements, app store deployments, and collaborate closely with backend, product, and design teams.

This is a high-impact role—your work will directly shape the experience of thousands of users participating in local fundraisers and community events.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive development of new features and improvements in the React Native mobile app.
• Architect scalable, maintainable, high-performance mobile codebases.
• Implement and maintain deep linking , universal links , QR code flows , and advanced navigation patterns.
• Integrate front-end components with APIs, including secure flows such as Stripe account linking and transaction data retrieval .
• Improve app reliability, performance, and UI responsiveness.
• Own the end-to-end CI / CD pipeline for mobile (builds, OTA updates, store submissions).
• Collaborate with backend engineers to define API contracts and optimize data flows.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and help establish engineering best practices.
• Work closely with product and design to ensure exceptional user experiences.
