Job Description

Experience

CA with 10+ years / Industry experience (+consulting experience) / Ability to handle a team of 2-3 resources / work with Big 4 and non-Big 4 consultants.

Purpose of the Role

1. The position requirement is in Global tax team. Needs to have knowledge of India tax (DT&GST) &outside India geographies understanding will be an added advantage.

2. Self-contributor role.

3. Ability to manage qualified / semi-qualified and Commerce graduate team of 2-3 persons.

4. Ability to collaborate with other verticals / functional teams in the organisation.

5. Ability to work with the Auditors, tax authorities and external consultants.

6. Open to travel on need basis

Key Responsibility

1. Strong operational Skills

2. Ability to navigate through the transaction impact across multiple geos

3. Ensuring and reviewing global Direct Tax returns and payments, group tax reporting and statutory tax disclosures, ensuring evidence is maintained to support tax filing positions.

4. Assisting in managing the global Direct Tax function, including developing and implementing strategies, controls, practices / protocols and planning opportunities.

5. Monitor and manage global Direct Tax Compliance process (and potentially external consultants).

6. Tax accounting and Audit support

7. Review and research Direct Tax questions for tax planning, accounting and compliance purposes.

8. Ensuring reporting for global Direct Tax activities, including reconciliation and true up.

9. Supporting the operation, monitoring and reporting of global Direct Tax and related accounting controls, data quality improvement and key performance measures.

10. Ensuring effective, pro-active communication with external and internal stakeholders as necessary, including Tax Global Process Owner, third-party advisors and owners of upstream processes such as ATR, SRC and group accounting within the wider global finance organization.

Skill

1. Direct tax / International Tax / GST / SEZ and STPI

2. Compliance, WHT assessment, GST refunds and filings review

3. Audit support - Provisions / DTA / DTL assessment

4. Litigation management - drafting, assessment hearings, discussion with counsels

5. Support on special projects - corporate actions

6. India tax experience (Must) / experience on overseas geographies - added advantage

7. Overseeing SEZ / STPI filings
