Position : Senior Manager – University Relations (North & East Zone)
Department : Business Development / University Relations
Location : North & East India (with travel across the region)
Reports To : AVP / Head – University Relations
Role Overview
The Senior Manager – University Relations will be responsible for driving strategic alliances and partnerships with universities in the North and East Zones . The role demands strong relationship management skills, business acumen, and the ability to influence academic stakeholders to expand TeamLease EdTech’s university network and portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- University Partnerships & Alliances
- Identify, engage, and onboard universities / HEIs across North & East India.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with Vice Chancellors, Registrars, Deans, and other key decision-makers.
- Drive collaborations for Online Learning (OL), ODL, and skill-based programs.
- Business Development
- Achieve enrollment, revenue, and partnership targets in the assigned region.
- Negotiate MoUs, contracts, and proposals with partner institutions.
- Map new opportunities for strategic growth in unexplored territories.
- Stakeholder Management
- Act as the single point of contact between TeamLease EdTech and partner universities.
- Facilitate smooth execution of academic programs, ensuring alignment with regulatory guidelines (UGC / AICTE).
- Work closely with internal teams (Operations, Marketing, Product) to deliver solutions.
- Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Track competitor activities, policy changes, and market trends in the higher education ecosystem.
- Provide regular insights and reports to leadership for informed decision-making.
- Represent TeamLease EdTech at conferences, seminars, and government forums.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong relationship-building and networking skills with academia and government bodies.Proven business development and consultative selling experience.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Ability to work independently with a results-driven approach.Strong understanding of higher education ecosystem, online learning, and employability landscape.Flexibility to travel extensively across North & East India.Qualifications & Experience
Postgraduate / MBA preferred (specialization in Marketing, Business, or Education Management).8–12 years of experience in university relations, institutional sales, higher education partnerships, or EdTech.Prior experience in handling large territories / regional roles is desirable.What We Offer
