Role : Senior OMS V10 Developer

Duration : Long Term Contract

Timings : 2 PM IST Onwards Monday to Friday

Job Summary

We are hiring an experienced IBM Sterling OMS Version 10 Developer with strong expertise in OMS configurations, customizations, SOM microservices development, Kubernetes deployments, CI / CD automation, DevOps tooling, and GitHub workflows. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end development, deployment, and optimization of OMS V10 microservices in a modern cloud-native architecture.

Core Skills Required

IBM Sterling OMS V10

Strong hands-on development using OMS V10 frameworks.
Experience working with Order creation, orchestration, ATP, sourcing rules, inventory visibility, fulfillment pipelines.
Deep knowledge of user exits, APIs, agents, service definitions, pipeline modifications.
Expertise in Sterling Business Center (SBC) configurations : payment rules, sourcing rules, delivery SLAs, scheduling.
Strong understanding of OMS event flows, exception management & monitoring.
Experience in integrating OMS with external systems (WMS, ERP, POS, eCommerce).
Knowledge of V10 architecture : Kafka, Cassandra, CouchDB / Mongo, Redis, OpenShift / K8s.

SOM Microservices Framework

Build and extend IBM-provided Inventory, Order, Catalog, Sourcing, Payment, Enterprise gateway microservices.

Develop custom microservices using Java / Spring Boot aligned with OMS functional flows.

Implement logging, tracing (OpenTelemetry), health checks, retry logic, fault tolerance.

Work with Helm charts, ConfigMaps, secrets, service routes & load balancing.

Kubernetes (K8s) & Cloud-Native Deployment

Strong experience deploying OMS microservices on Kubernetes clusters.

Writing & optimizing Deployment, StatefulSet, Ingress, HPA YAMLs.

Experience with Helm, Docker, and container lifecycle management.

Expertise in troubleshooting pods, networking, resource limits, scaling, and cluster performance.

Experience with service mesh (Istio / Linkerd) is a plus.

DevOps, CI / CD & Automation

Build and maintain CI / CD pipelines for OMS microservices using :

GitHub Actions (mandatory)

Jenkins

ArgoCD or FluxCD

Automate builds, code quality checks, unit tests, container scanning & deployment.

Manage environment-based deployments (Dev / Test / UAT / Prod) with automated rollouts.

Hands-on with artifact management (Nexus / Artifactory).

GitHub / Version Control

Manage repositories, PR workflows, branching strategies.

Build reusable GitHub Actions workflows.

Implement security checks using GitHub Advanced Security or similar.

Additional Technical Skills

Strong Java / J2EE background with REST API development.

Understanding of Kafka messaging, NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB).

Experience with performance tuning for high-volume OMS workloads.

Soft Skills

Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Strong debugging, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
