3. Evaluating proposed changes in product, process or equipment according to the established procedures.
4. To build procedure / system to reduce the production cost, reduction of waste, increasing recycling and reuse.
5. Support to plant in trouble shooting & investigations.
6. Improvements in process cycle time, yield, operation ease, automation and mechanised system.
7. Improvements in energy conservation & effluent reduction.
8. Improvements in product costing & overall efficiency of the plant.
9. To ensure effective utilization of utilities, steam & power.
