Company : Long Road Transportation (US-based)

Location :  Remote

Job Type :  Full-time / Independent Contractor

Industry :  Drayage Transportation

Experience Required :  Minimum 2 years (Open for training for those with no drayage experience)

Responsibilities :

  • Plan, organize and coordinate container removal (drayage) operations to ensure timely removal and delivery of containers.
  • Ensure on-time delivery by optimizing routes and adhering to industry regulations and requirements (USA).
  • Interact effectively with drivers, port services, warehouses and customers.
  • Track container movement and update statuses in the dispatching system in real time.
  • Optimize routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Resolve operational issues including delays, equipment shortages and driver inquiries.
  • Track and manage downtime, demurrage and other charges to minimize them.
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports on operations and performance indicators.

Requirements :

  • Preferably with practical experience in OTR, freight forwarding or as a container dispatcher in the USA, Australia or Canada.
  • Preferably with deep knowledge of port operations, container shipping logistics and transport legislation (USA).
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
  • English proficiency at level C1 / C2.
  • Experience with dispatching software and the Microsoft Office package.
  • Active, self-organized team player.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including early shifts and weekends when needed.

  • Full-time remote. Zoom attendance required.
  • Monday – Friday (6 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PM PST)
