Role Overview
We are seeking a highly driven and well-connected Sr. Manager – Business Development to spearhead growth initiatives in the Mumbai region. The ideal candidate should have strong relationships with school authorities, principals, and education boards, enabling them to open new opportunities and drive partnerships with leading schools.
This role involves strategic outreach, relationship management, and revenue generation by promoting our academic and student development programs to schools in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and manage partnerships with schools, school groups, and education institutions in Mumbai.
- Leverage existing strong contacts with school authorities to accelerate outreach and partnership closures.
- Develop and execute a territory-specific business plan to achieve targets for student enrollments, batch closures, and revenue growth.
- Conduct presentations, workshops, and meetings with principals, trustees, and senior decision-makers to showcase our offerings.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, academic) to ensure successful program implementation.
- Track, analyze, and report sales performance, pipeline status, and market insights to management.
- Represent the company at education fairs, school events, and industry networking platforms in the region.
- Mentor and guide junior business development executives in the region (if applicable).
Key Requirements
Experience : 8–12 years in business development / institutional sales, preferably in the education sector (schools / K12 segment / EdTech / training services).Network : Proven and strong connect with school authorities (principals, trustees, school chains, education boards) in Mumbai.Track Record : Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and building long-term institutional relationships.Skills : Excellent communication and presentation skills, strong negotiation and closure abilities, strategic planning mindset, and relationship management capabilities.Qualification : Graduate / Postgraduate in Business, Marketing, or related field.
