Job description

Location : Hyderabad | Hybrid

Experience : 5+ years

Job Description : Primary Skills :

  • Expertise in PostgreSQL (schemas, functions, triggers, views, procedures).
  • Strong SQL query writing, optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with execution plans , indexing , and data modeling .
  • Knowledge of transactions , concurrency , and isolation levels .
  • Integration experience with Java / Python applications.
  • Exposure to cloud PostgreSQL (AWS RDS / Aurora, GCP Cloud SQL / Spanner).
  • Experience in database performance improvement and migration from legacy DBs.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting and familiarity with Elasticsearch .

Secondary Skills :

  • Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (pgTAP, DbUnit).
  • Experience with PostgreSQL extensions (PostGIS, pg_stat_statements, TimescaleDB).
  • Hands-on with backup / recovery , HA , and database security .
  • Familiarity with ETL tools (Airflow, Talend, dbt) and streaming tools (Kafka, ActiveMQ).
