Senior Software Engineer - HL7 / Healthcare Integration

About the Opportunity :

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer HL7 / Healthcare Integration to design, implement, and manage healthcare data integrations and interoperability solutions.

This role is ideal for a technically strong professional who understands HL7 V2.x, FHIR, and other healthcare data exchange standards, and can architect reliable, secure, and scalable integration frameworks.

Youll be part of a specialized engineering team responsible for enabling seamless data flow between healthcare systems, ensuring compliance with global healthcare standards, and supporting interoperability across EMR, EHR, and third-party platforms.

What Youll Do :

• Design, develop, and maintain HL7 interfaces and FHIR-based APIs for healthcare data integration.
• Configure, customize, and manage interface engines (e.g., Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf, or Corepoint).
• Collaborate with clinical, product, and IT teams to define and implement healthcare data workflows.
• Translate business requirements into technical integration specifications, data mappings, and transformation logic.
• Develop SQL-based scripts and queries for data extraction, validation, and analysis.
• Monitor interface transactions and troubleshoot issues in data exchange, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Implement data validation, error handling, and message acknowledgment mechanisms for reliable data delivery.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to onboard new healthcare data partners and ensure interoperability.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HL7, and FHIR standards, and follow security best practices for protected health information (PHI).
• Document interface architecture, message structures, and deployment workflows.
