Job Description – Social Media Intern
Role Summary
We are looking for a proactive and creative Social Media Intern to support the day-to-day execution of our social media strategy across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, X, and LinkedIn. This role will focus on community engagement, trend monitoring, and content support to help strengthen brand presence, build relationships with our audience, and foster an engaged online community.
Key Responsibilities
Community Management & Engagement
- Monitor and track comments, DMs, tags, and brand mentions daily across platforms.
- Reply promptly and thoughtfully to community interactions in a brand-right tone.
- Escalate edge cases and ensure unresolved issues are followed through.
- Moderate conversations by enforcing community guidelines, managing spam / toxicity, and handling block / mute / report workflows.
- Build authentic relationships by recognizing loyal followers, nurturing advocates / creators, and encouraging peer-to-peer discussions.
Social Listening & Trend Activation
Identify and flag emerging trends, relevant conversations, competitor activities, and cultural moments.Assist with creator / UGC sourcing and initial outreach.Publish timely updates, including service notices, feature rollouts, and event reminders, aligned with the content calendar.Cross-Team Feedback & Collaboration
Surface insights and community feedback into actionable product, marketing, or customer support tickets.Summarize recurring voice-of-customer (VOC) themes and share with relevant teams.Support crisis readiness by maintaining up-to-date macros, FAQs, and escalation paths.Operational Excellence
Keep the asset library, UTM links, and tracking structures organized.Ensure all content complies with privacy, legal, and brand policies.Secure rights for user-generated content (UGC) and manage sensitive data responsibly.Support after-hours incident coverage if needed.Analytics & Reporting
Track and report on key metrics such as volume, response time, sentiment, resolution rate, and top FAQs.Provide recommendations for improving engagement and community satisfaction.Good-to-Have Skills
Strong writing skills with an understanding of tone, meme culture, and platform-specific trends.Basic video editing (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Premiere Rush) and lightweight design skills (e.g., Canva, Figma).Understanding of social engagement mechanics (hooks, CTAs, captions, hashtags, and shareability).
