Job description :

Hands-on maintenance of PostgreSQL databases, ensuring uptime, reliability, and performance.

Design and implement procedures for backup, failover, and recovery to deliver data integrity and business continuity.

Provide hands-on database expertise to development teams, advising on schema design, indexing, and query optimization.

Proactively monitor database health and performance; identify and resolve issues before they impact production.

Collaborate with internal teams and service providers (AWS, Enterprise DB etc.) in the resolution of issues

Establish and document database standards, policies, and best practices.

Contribute to the broader data architecture strategy as the organization scales and evolves.

Recommend and implement best practices for data security, compliance, and scalability.

Define, agree and maintain improvement roadmap for the database estate.
