Your New Role :

The Manager of Network Operations is responsible for overseeing the tier 2 operations of the network systems, including hardware, software, and communication links. This role entails leading a team of tier 2 network operators to ensure the optimal performance, stability, and security of the organization’s networking infrastructure.

Your Role Accountabilities :

OPERATIONS / PROJECT MANAGEMENT

• Network Operations Management (40%) - Oversee the monitoring and support of network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless, data circuits, DNS and DHCP.
• Team Leadership and Development (30%) - Manage the network operations team, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions. Develop and maintain training materials for network operations staff and conduct ongoing training sessions. Ensure team is up-to-date with the latest network technologies and practices.
• Strategic Planning and Project Management (20%) - Contribute to the development of networking operations strategy and processes. Oversee and prioritize operational projects; manage and report on project timelines and outcomes. Develop and manage budgetary allocations for network operations.
• Compliance and Security (10%) - Regularly review and analyze network performance and the adequacy of existing technologies, making recommendations for improvements. Implement and monitor policies for the use of network resources.
• Perform other duties as needed
