You’ll be a great fit if you have :

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Media / Journalism, or similar discipline.
  • 1+ years of experience in sports writing, news content, or similar roles.
  • Command the English language with the ability to create content that engages
  • A knack for creating compelling, well-researched articles that capture breaking news, explore emerging trends, and deliver rich, insightful features..
  • Live and breathe sports, always staying updated on live events, team news, and the latest trends while thriving in a fast-moving, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS), especially WordPress, is a valuable bonus.

As a NBA Journalist at EssentiallySports

  • You’ll create 6 compelling articles each day, maintaining the high-quality standards we’re known for at EssentiallySports.
  • Working six days a week, you’ll sync with a schedule that speaks to our US audience, ensuring timely, relevant content.
  • Every article you craft will be well-researched, factually accurate, and designed to hook readers from the start.
  • You’ll collaborate with the editorial team to uphold quality and brainstorm fresh ideas with the content team to keep NBA fans engaged and excited.
  • We want you to dive into what makes our audience tick—understanding their love for the game and creating content that speaks directly to that passion.
  • Timeliness is key, so you’ll prioritize breaking news and make sure our fans stay ahead with the latest updates.
