Key Responsibilities
1. Design Coordination
- Work closely with the Senior Interior Designer and design team right from the conceptualization stage to understand design intent, materials, and client vision.
- Ensure seamless coordination and progression through every stage of design and execution
- Maintain constant communication between the design team, vendors, and site to ensure design intent and finish quality are consistently achieved.
- Track and update drawing releases, approvals, and dependencies in coordination with the Senior Interior Designer and Senior Project Associate.
2. Project Planning & Scheduling
Prepare and monitor detailed project schedules and deliverable timelines across all phases.Identify and manage critical path activities to ensure on-time completion.Maintain project trackers, checklists, and weekly progress reports for internal and client reviews.3. Vendor, Factory & Sample Coordination
Coordinate with vendors, workshops, and factories for sample submissions, production timelines, and quality checks.Handle day-to-day communication with factories, ensuring clarity on approved finishes, materials, and technical details.Maintain organized records of materials, approvals, and vendor documentation.Ensure all samples and mock-ups align with the approved design palette and are delivered within stipulated timelines.4. Turnkey & Execution Coordination
For turnkey projects, manage multi-agency coordination—civil, MEP, joinery, polishing, upholstery, and furnishing teams.Supervise on-site execution to ensure accuracy of implementation as per design drawings and specifications.Organize site visits for Senior Designers, document observations, and ensure timely rectification or action.5. Communication & Reporting
Serve as the central point of communication between design, site, procurement, vendors, and factory teams.Provide structured weekly reports to the Senior Project Associate, highlighting site progress, procurement status, and pending actions.Maintain client communication where required, ensuring clarity and professionalism consistent with AKDG standards.6. Quality Control & Handover
Conduct periodic quality inspections during execution to ensure compliance with approved drawings and finish standards.Oversee snag rectification and ensure a seamless handover process.Maintain comprehensive documentation—approved drawings, site photos, factory images, and vendor records—for each project.Key Skills & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design / Architecture / Project Management.10+ years of experience managing large-scale interior projects, preferably in high-end residential or hospitality sectors.Strong understanding of design processes, detailing, materiality, and execution methods.Demonstrated ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams and multiple work fronts.Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills.Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and project management software.Personality Fit
