Title : AMS Power Converter Lead Engineer

As a Senior Lead Design Engineer at LTSCT, you will play a crucial role in leading Power Management IC products. We are looking for a person who possesses technical expertise in DC-DC converters (Buck / Boost). Deep Expertise in design of Power Management IC design / knowledge of Power converters architecture is must requirement for this role.
The successful candidate in this role will drive solutions with customer, marketing and systems team to create roadmap, architecture, circuit design, setting up best in class methodologies and processes. We are seeking individuals who have a strong passion for analog and mixed-signal design, possess deep expertise in Power Converters and PMIC Design and thrive in solving complex challenges. The key expectations for this role include, but are not limited to :
Areas Of Responsibility
- Thorough understanding of architecture, trade-off in designing High-performance power management ICs or subsystems.
- Development of Power Management Products with emphasis on SMPS, DC-DC, LDO’s, Charge Pumps, Bandgaps, Amplifiers, and / or DAC’s, ADC’s
- Responsible for architecture and analysis for control loops
- Responsible for analog design, IC floor plan, integration and layout supervision through all stages of IC development
- Influence architectural decisions to ensure system / sub-system technical performance requirements are achieved
- Develops macro models and participates in top level simulation
- Actively participates in the entire product development cycle
- Determines design-for-test strategies to evaluate system / sub-system / block performance
- Well versed with all the layout techniques, extraction methods to ensure the most optimized layouts for the design. Able to setup the right layout guidelines for the layout team.
- Provide guidance to layout engineers on critical analog implementation aspects, monitors progress of layouts, and closes the loop with post layout extraction and simulation.
- Work with a team of engineers to evaluate intended product behaviour pre-tape-out and post tape-out.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and architect Power management solutions and related IP solutions.
- Perform system-level verification and characterization of design solutions including performance analysis, noise analysis, and timing verification.
- Setup the design methodologies, process flow ensuring end-to-end quality.
- Work closely with the system engineering team to ensure the Data Converter and related IP designs meet the performance requirements and specifications of the target applications.
- Drive innovation by exploring new techniques, circuit topologies, and emerging technologies, bench marking solution with competitors and state of art, and stay tuned with current research.
- Collaborate with customers and partners to understand their requirements and provide customized solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the team.
Experience and Qualification
15+ years of experience in Analog Mixed Signal IP Design / Architecture with 10+ years of deep experience in DC-DC converters, SPMS, Control loops, Charge-Pump, LDOs and PMIC design challenges.Expertise in feasibility analysis with different modelling techniques for quick evaluation of the solution.Strong analytical, mathematical and intuitive understanding of transistor-level circuit design including noise and mismatch analysis.Experience in analog and digital behavioural modelling, and / or synthesis of digital control blocks.Familiar with Cadence schematic capture, virtuoso, Spectre and / or HSPICE circuit simulation toolsMATLAB understanding would be an added advantage.Proficiency in industry-standard EDA tools for IC design, simulation, and layout.Solid knowledge of system-level trade-offs and constraints in areas such as efficiency, power consumption, noise etc.Proficiency in driving the correct hardware for the most efficient solution for the customer.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.Technical And Behavioural Skills
