SENIOR MANAGER - LEGAL (M2)
Job Purpose :
To lead and manage legal functions including contract management, litigation, compliance, and risk mitigation. The Senior Manager – Legal will provide strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders, ensure adherence to statutory obligations, and support business operations through sound legal counsel.
Key Responsibilities :
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and tender documents.
- Provide legal advice on tender documentation and business transactions.
- Prepare legal documents including notices, replies, plaints, written statements, affidavits, and writ petitions.
- Handle both litigation and non-litigation matters across civil, criminal, commercial, and labor law domains.
- Advise management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures.
- Ensure contracts and internal policies comply with statutory and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with departments to identify and mitigate legal risks.
- Provide legal protection and risk management strategies, especially in contract management.
- Monitor compliance with statutory obligations and advise management accordingly.
- Support business activities by preparing, reviewing, and modifying contractual instruments.
- Lead negotiations and ensure timely submission of legal documentation.
- Make operational decisions related to legal safety and security matters.
Educational Qualifications :
Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognized university.Master's degree in Law or related field is an added advantage.Must be an Advocate of the High Court.Experience Requirements :
10-12 years of legal experience, including law firm and in-house counsel roles.Minimum 5-7 years in a senior legal role within a reputed organization.Proven expertise in contract negotiation, drafting, and litigation.Experience in intellectual property, licensing, and commercialization agreements.Key Competencies & Personal Attributes :
