Textile Designer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Create and develop original textile designs and patterns for home furnishing products.

Work on print development, weaving, embroidery, and surface design based on market trends.

Use CAD or textile design software to prepare artwork, repeats, and colorways.

Collaborate with merchandising, production, and sampling teams to translate designs into final products.

Research fashion trends, colors, and fabrics suitable for local and international markets.

Ensure designs align with brand identity and buyer requirements .

Maintain design files, mood boards, and fabric swatches for reference.

Coordinate with printing units and vendors for sample development.

Support new collection launches and product presentations .

Requirements

Required Skill Sets

Strong creativity and knowledge of textile design, color theory, and trend analysis .

Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, NedGraphics, or TexCAD .

Understanding of fabric structures, printing, and weaving techniques .

Excellent visualization and attention to detail .

Ability to handle multiple design projects and meet deadlines.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Degree / Diploma in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or Fine Arts .

2–6 years of experience in home textile or fabric design preferred.
