Job description

Role : Cypress Automation Engineer

Exp : 2- 5 years

Location : Mumbai / and Responsibilities :

Develop, execute, and maintain automation test scripts to meet project testing requirements and ensure software quality.
Design, build, and implement end-to-end regression suites for both UI and API testing.
Identify high-value manual test cases and convert them into automated tests.
Work closely with development, product, and DevOps teams in an Agile environment to ensure timely and high-quality releases.
Develop and execute smoke, functional, regression, and integration test suites for UI front-end, API services, and database back-end.
Debug and troubleshoot automation scripts and application defects, working with developers to identify root causes.

Required Skills and Knowledge :

2+ years of hands-on experience in UI and API automation using Cypress

Hands on experience in JavaScript or TypeScript

Experience in REST API or SOAP testing, including hands-on experience with Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.

Experience with SQL queries and database validation.

Understanding of CI / CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI / CD from QA Automation perspective.

Experience in debugging and troubleshooting skills to analyze automation failures and application issues.

Experience with source control systems such as Git, GitLab, or Bitbucket.

Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and Agile testing practices.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
